Laura Wadsworth Carter is an Alabama native and a graduate of the University of Montevallo, from which she received a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Education. By day, she’s a high school history teacher who dabbles in gardening and is in a perpetual state of planning her next road trip. By night, she writes books for children and teenagers. Her first young adult novel, The Elect, was published in 2016 by Clean Reads Press. Its sequel, Restoration, released in February 2019. She has two forthcoming picture books from Familius Press.
